This new cafe off Bushard & Banning has indoor/outdoor seating with fresh, seed oil free food and specialty drinks (yelp)

Planning Commission approves new PCH homes 🚧

With a 4-2 vote, the Planning Commission approved permits for 10 new homes on Pacific Coast Highway (LINK)

City Council meeting recap 📜

This past Tuesday’s session covered…

Community garden: voted unanimously for a feasibility study about potentially creating a closed-loop, sustainable community garden on 11.5 acres (2:31:49 - 2:42:04)

Kratom regulation: will research and draft an ordinance regulating sales of kratom, a plant-based substance sold in local smoke shops and gas stations (2:42:11 - 2:48:18)

Contract review program: will set up a program to review completed projects related to large city expenditures (LINK)

Next meeting: due to a lack of quorum, the August 5 session is canceled and City Council’s next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 19
